Music Video Scope – David Ruffin

This is a 52-second music video sequence from our short film I Got a Dead Chick in My Trunk. It’s picture-locked, and the footage is shot on Blackmagic 6K BRAW against green screen with one actor.

We’ve roughed in a comp with MidJourney AI-generated backgrounds (stills + videos). Now we need an artist to take it way further — both technically and CREATIVELY.

What’s Needed

  • Clean green screen key + seamless composite

  • Match actor lighting & color to background

  • Integrate AI stills and video plates

  • Add stylized creative flair — think: animated doodles, bold transitions, glitch effects, meme aesthetics, TikTok/hip-hop energy

  • Final delivery as ProRes 4444 (with alpha if appropriate)

  • Length: 52 seconds (picture locked)

  • Footage provided as BRAW or ProRes

  • This is not just a cleanup job — we’re looking for artist input. Make what’s there better, bigger, bolder.

The Goal

Take this rough comp and TRANSFORM it into something that feels like a polished, stylized music video moment — standing apart from the “real world” tone of the short film.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Shot on Blackmagic 6K BRAW (Q0). I can provide either the original BRAW or ProRes transcodes depending on your workflow.

  • The music video sequence is picture-locked at 52 seconds. Timing cannot change — but within that, you have full creative freedom.

  • AI-generated plates (MidJourney stills + AI videos). You’re free to mix, remix, or even propose your own stylistic backgrounds, as long as the vibe stays bold, stylized, and music video–ready.

  • Final comp delivered as ProRes 4444 (with alpha if necessary), ready to drop back into our Resolve timeline.

  • Both. Keying and comp need to be clean, but we’re looking for your artistry — think TikTok transitions, glitch effects, hand-drawn doodles, surreal flourishes. Make what we roughed in better.

  • We’d like delivery by September 30, 2025, to stay ahead of our main October 10 deadline.
